Married couple Brittany & Raphael wanted some cozy winter portraits to hang on their walls so we met at Phillippi Estate and wandered around for a couple hours, and these two made it so easy! They adore each other and are pretty good at the whole snuggle-up and look gorgeous pose. I love portrait sessions that are just for fun, to celebrate a wifey & hubby’s love for each other!
There’s two things I really love in this world, Boca Grande and puppies! So when I got an inquiry to capture this adorable couple’s engagement session in Boca with their BRAND NEW PUPPY, there was no hesitation. We had such a blast wandering around this lovely, sleepy town and got some pretty cute pics too!
Betty & Kai both have artistic minds and a special fondness for the glass sculptor Dale Chihuly, so we spent some time in the magical rooms at downtown St. Pete’s Chihuly Collection for some super fun engagement photos (huge thank you to the Collection for letting us in!). We also wandered around some other artsy spots in St. Pete (we may or may not have snuck into the garden at the Dali, but I’ll just leave that right here). Loved hanging out with these two and can’t wait for their wedding next Spring!
A sunrise wake-up call can be a little daunting, but when you get to hang out on the beach with adorable clients like Clarice & Daniel in light as incredible as this, I cannot complain! Loved capturing these post-elopement portraits, definitely worth the early alarm!
The number one thing I miss about my job as a magazine photo editor is collaborating with other creatives. So shoots like this where I get to brainstorm fun ideas and bring them to life are SO MUCH FUN! Roger Capote, Director of Events at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens asked me to shoot a portrait of the 2016 Orchid Ball committee (you might remember last year’s amazing Orchid Ball Booth!) and he said the concept was “Regal”. So I scoured editorial shoots that included a lot of gorgeous women (we had 16!), we teamed up with the always amazing Priscilla from The Reserve Vintage Rentals and we created a pretty regal final product I think! The ladies made it easy by looking so glam, but you can’t tell at all it was about 90 degrees and 99% humidity that day! Can’t wait to see 2016’s Orchid Ball come together!
