My husband jokes with me that the word “elope” means different things to those of us in the wedding industry and those who aren’t. For him it means running away from everything and getting married on a whim. For me it means a conscious decision to profess your love and commitment to your person in front of either a handful of family and friends or sometimes only one. But the day is always focused on the couple, their love story and their commitment. That’s why I loved being part of Elizabeth & William’s elopement at The Ritz-Carlton Beach Club. Their good friend acted as the officiant and only guest and it was beautiful! After rekindling a friendship after many years, Elizabeth & William fell in love and became inseparable, in her words.
