After learning that Valdi proposed to Rachel in Croatia, it feels like these two are destined to always create memorable moments! Their wedding was no exception with a typically unpredictable Florida day of thunderstorms threatening to ruin their dream beach wedding. After the vendor team, led by Christina at Swanky Soiree, hustled to start 45 minutes early, the rain stopped & the sun came out! For about half of their ceremony 🙂 A little drizzle soon turned into actual rain, but there was no stopping this day! The groom’s brother in law grabbed a clear umbrella and protected Rachel and the cheering was so heartfelt when they shared their first kiss (in the now pouring rain!). So grateful for these two in sharing their day with me and for our amazing vendor team who made it happen.

Last week I got to collaborate with some of my favorite local wedding vendors on a styled shoot centered around a beautiful botanical bar. The bar is the latest offering by The Wandering Whale, a mobile bar service in Sarasota. In planning the shoot with NK Productions, we wanted to show that even a tiny reception (which is all most people are allowed to have right now) can be elegant, unique and completely custom to your decor. Showcasing a pastel palette with vibrant pops of color, the florals by Victoria Blooms paired perfectly with The Wandering Whale’s botanical rosé and Florida Furniture Rental’s modern lounge furniture. Set under the magical banyan trees at Selby Gardens, our adorable couple danced under a cluster of chandeliers from Affairs in the Air. Cheers to more beautiful evenings like this!

After having to cancel their Asheville wedding and quarantining in Anna Maria, Angie & Karl decided to elope with just their kids at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota. Their morning ceremony on a beautiful balcony reminded me how special love and marriage and family is, especially this year! I am always so grateful to capture and celebrate with my couples, but these tiny sweet celebrations are really lifting my heart & giving me hope right now.

After working together for years, then opening their own counseling practice, Ann & Curtis realized they couldn’t live without each other! They celebrated their love with a sweet ceremony in front of a small group of family and friends at two beautiful locations in Sarasota. Their ceremony was at the United Methodist Church inside a beautiful, historic chapel & the reception took place at the Bird Key Yacht Club which has gorgeous views of The Ringling Bridge & downtown Sarasota. Not to mention all the water and sunshine! It was such a pleasure to be part of someone’s love story again, thank you for including me Ann & Curtis!

Becky & Marc had always planned on a sweet, intimate ceremony at the historic Sarasota courthouse which was perfect since everything around us started to shut down the week of their wedding. The courthouse was still doing ceremonies thankfully, but only outside. No problem since it is SO PRETTY! We then hopped over to the beautiful grounds of The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota for more portraits and a celebratory lunch with family and a few friends. We were all so grateful to be celebrating Becky & Marc and their love, and on the brink of such uncertainty, it was a really good day to be a wedding photographer. So happy for you Becky & Marc!!
