After having to cancel their Asheville wedding and quarantining in Anna Maria, Angie & Karl decided to elope with just their kids at the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota. Their morning ceremony on a beautiful balcony reminded me how special love and marriage and family is, especially this year! I am always so grateful to capture and celebrate with my couples, but these tiny sweet celebrations are really lifting my heart & giving me hope right now.
After working together for years, then opening their own counseling practice, Ann & Curtis realized they couldn’t live without each other! They celebrated their love with a sweet ceremony in front of a small group of family and friends at two beautiful locations in Sarasota. Their ceremony was at the United Methodist Church inside a beautiful, historic chapel & the reception took place at the Bird Key Yacht Club which has gorgeous views of The Ringling Bridge & downtown Sarasota. Not to mention all the water and sunshine! It was such a pleasure to be part of someone’s love story again, thank you for including me Ann & Curtis!

Becky & Marc had always planned on a sweet, intimate ceremony at the historic Sarasota courthouse which was perfect since everything around us started to shut down the week of their wedding. The courthouse was still doing ceremonies thankfully, but only outside. No problem since it is SO PRETTY! We then hopped over to the beautiful grounds of The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota for more portraits and a celebratory lunch with family and a few friends. We were all so grateful to be celebrating Becky & Marc and their love, and on the brink of such uncertainty, it was a really good day to be a wedding photographer. So happy for you Becky & Marc!!
Rachel & Thomas have been visiting Sarasota and Longboat Key for years together so it seemed like the perfect place for Thomas to propose! Then we all celebrated with a beautiful engagement session on the magical beach at Beer Can Island. Side note, can we all officially change the name of this gorgeous location? Maybe Driftwood Island, or Magical Island? Because this place is pure magic, especially in the evenings. I’m so excited for this sweet couple and their future together!
