This is the summer of intimate & super special weddings, and I’ll take it! Kelly & Chuck’s story is pretty incredible, having been married (by the same Reverend) for 20+ years, then apart for almost 10 before they said “I Do” all over again. The emotional ceremony took place in their home surrounded by family, before everyone headed over to celebrate at a beautiful reception at Michael’s Wine Cellar. Thank you for including me in such a perfect day Kelly & Chuck!
Tiny Weddings are amazing! Especially when you choose a setting as stunning as the Ritz-Carlton Beach Club like Katelyn & Richard. Their sweet ceremony on the lawn was followed by a beautifully decorated reception inside the recently renovated Seaglass room & a choreographed dance by the couple! Such a sweet day for this super sweet bride & groom.
There are so many reasons why I recommend including an engagement session in your wedding packages. It’s a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, have time to shoot at different locations than your wedding venue, get to know me and how much fun I am (yes!!) and probably most important, it’s time to just relax and get excited with your future partner!! A lot of my clients hire me from out of state so they don’t think an engagement session is necessary or possible, but if you’re coming to town to do a menu tasting, venue walk-thru or to start working on that wedding day glow then let’s go do some engagement photos! That’s exactly how New Yorkers Kelley & Marcel squeezed this session in and we are all so happy they did.
There’s something extra magical about getting married inside an art museum, and Shirlene & Yale’s day was definitely proof of that. Their ceremony took place in a beautiful outdoor courtyard, underneath a tree & surrounded by their friends and family some of whom have known the couple since they met playing Ultimate Frisbee! The dance floor also turned pretty magical when family members started ballroom dancing with each other. Congratulations Shirlene & Yale, it was so amazing getting to know you and celebrating with you!
There is nothing more exciting and nerve-wracking than shooting the moment when someone asks their person to say yes to forever! And honestly, is there a more beautiful place to do it than the magical beach at Beer Can Island? This sweet couple was visiting from Pennsylvania & headed to what she thought was a quick stroll on the beach before dinner. Right when she started getting hungry and confused as to why he was taking her down a path of mangroves, he dropped to his knee while I was essentially hiding behind a tree. Then we had so much fun wandering the beach and celebrating together. Congratulations Phil & Chelsea!!
