Ok two things I love about Abi & Bobby, they had their first date at Chipotle (amazing!) and they are related to my amazing couple from last year, Val & Rory (Rory is Abi’s brother and he was their ceremony officiant). So I was extra excited about this wedding because I already loved them plus I would have the chance to work with a planner I’ve loved for so long, Kelly McWilliams (please check out her work, it’s stunning but also follow her on IG, she is hilarious!). As their wedding week arrived the news about COVID-19 was changing by the HOUR, but we were all still holding out hope that plans would stay the same, and Abi & Bobby were determined to say “I Do” no matter what. 36 hours before their wedding day the original plan was out the window, the event was moved to their house & about 100 of their guests wouldn’t be able to attend. But Kelly managed to pull together key vendors to create ACTUAL MAGIC in their backyard (Abi said how happy she was to finally have people over to their house because they hadn’t even had a housewarming party yet!). It was such a special and amazing day and I could not have been more happy to be part of it. P.S. We are planning a gorgeous styled shoot with the whole wedding party in their actual wedding attire soon!

This Coronavirus is causing so much stress and anxiety on its own and now even more so in the wedding industry with couples having to make heartbreaking decisions about their wedding dates. We are all in this together! I know some of you have had to postpone your dream wedding, some will even have to wait another year, I can’t imagine. But if you don’t want to wait that long to get married, maybe you can elope! You can still have pretty details, say I do to your forever person and get amazing photos together. Elopements have been on the rise in the last year, and I am HERE FOR IT! More time together, more time for portraits & usually less stress. Even if you still have your big celebration at a later date, there’s no stopping you from saying I Do right now. Pick a beautiful spot outdoors or our historic courthouse and lets make it happen!

Kelsey & Trevor are so fun to be around, and clearly love being around each other. They were laughing and smiling the entire day of their wedding, which is always a really good sign. After they matched on Tinder & he proposed at a Christmas Light show in Ohio, they finally said “I Do” under the beautiful wedding oak tree at Selby Gardens. But their dance floor was the absolute star of the day, from a singalong session to Hotel California to a drinking game played to the AC/DC song “Thunderstruck”, there was no shortage of celebration on their night. Congratulations Kelsey & Trevor!

I could write a novel about how much I appreciate and love Deb & Mel! For our initial consultation they invited me into their home (and fed me!), told me their beautiful story and welcomed me into their lives. It was such an honor to be part of the celebration of Deb & Mel saying ‘I Do’ along with their close friends and family at a house in Anna Maria. The love that was shared that day will always touch my heart and remind me of how lucky I am to do this work!

Julea & Tyler had a beautiful and sweet vow renewal ceremony in the Healing Gardens at The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota in front of a small group of family and friends including their adorable son Sam. These two 8th grade sweethearts (WOW!) had the sweetest surprise during the ceremony with a folded note made by Julea’s best friend to remind them of their actual first classroom notes. Guests were serenaded by steel drums while they sat under the cafe lights on the lawn for dinner. Thank you for including me in this beautiful celebration!
